Estate t "Waetermeschien"

You can stay here in a unique place in the middle of the dunes and with a private path to the North Sea. The access road to the estate betrays that you will be led to a special place. The main building where many pumps were running day and night to provide the residents of Walcheren (from 1884) with clean drinking water has not been used as such since 1995. The water pumping station has now become a house. The 8 ha estate is largely accessible to everyone to the south and north of the buildings, of course only on the designated paths. Outside the paths are the old wells, which have been preserved but are certainly not harmless. Four workers' houses are located next to the main building. They used to be inhabited by the workers who worked at the water pumping station. Now 1 house is rented out as a holiday home. This is currently being refurbished and rented out again from June by Paulien. There are 2 clean water cellars behind the buildings, in which the drinking water was stored for transport. These will also be renovated and will serve as a hobby room / garage and swimming pool / workshop space. The renovation has saved all buildings from decay and demolition. Next to the house is a new Studio for 2 people with its own entrance and exit that we also rent out. We also rent our previous home at 5 minutes walking distance in the district Dishoek at the bottom of the dunes for 8 people, as well as a fully furnished apartment for 2 adults and 2 children. you will find all information about the houses on this website. You are welcome for a wonderful holiday in the dunes of Dishoek on Walcheren.
